Thornbridge Brewery have launched a special edition of their Leadmill IPA in support of the #wecantloseleadmill campaign, to allow the iconic venue to remain in their current location at the heart of Sheffield’s music scene.
Almost one year ago to the day Thornbridge launched Leadmill IPA, a smashable session IPA created to celebrate The Leadmill’s 40th anniversary. The beer went down a storm and has been stocked in the legendary venue ever since.
On hearing the news that The Leadmill had been served an eviction notice Thornbridge wanted to find a way to support the venue in their campaign to remain in their venue. The #wecantloseleadmill campaign was launched back in April this year and has garnered the support of a slew of artists, comedians and businesses across the nation.
Thornbridge have decided to re-launch Leadmill IPA with a brand new can designed by the talented Sheffield illustrator Tom J Newell.
The can now features the #wecantloseleadmill as well as a QR code which will take you straight to the petition to save The Leadmill and we encourage everyone to sign to save what is such an incredible and iconic part of Sheffield and the UK arts sector.
Simon Webster, Co-Founder and Owner of Thornbridge Brewery says:
“The #wecantloseleadmill campaign is so important, The Leadmill is absolutely legendary and we just cannot lose it. To do so would be losing such an important part of not just Sheffield’s heritage but also the UK music scene. Help us to support them, scan those QR codes and get that petition signed!”
Leadmill IPA is a juicy and sessionable IPA packed with American hops for flavours of mango, guava and citrus. It’s the perfect beer to enjoy with great live music. Leadmill IPA is available nationwide including online at thornbridge.co.uk, selected Sheffield Morrisons and of course at The Leadmill itself.
